Two of my longtime loves reunited again, the starry night sky and the ocean.

When I as working only on textile art I loved creating pieces that depicted the ocean, sea foam, crashing waves.

Those elements have always tugged so strongly at my heart, and I wanted to bring them to life again in this piece.

Dolphins are one of the most loved ocean dwellers and in mythology they have a very close relationship with faeries, so it was very easy to imagine this scene.

The lovely faery steps on her sea friend while they leap together to catch a fallen star that shines brightly against a backdrop of a starry night sky.

The sheen of the wonderful Stuart Gill paints is missed on the photo, but the waves foam and the faerie's eyes really shine in the dark night.

I am astounded by your depiction of the sea and night sky. They are so beautifully done and then I notice the gorgeous faery and cute little dolphin. That star really does shine!
